M.S.M.E. –Self Employment Convention in Bhopal on November 17 and 18

M.S.M.E. –Self Employment Convention will be held at Hotel Amer Green in Bhopal on November 17 and 18. The Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and the Union Minister of State for M.S.M.E. Shri Giriraj Singh will inaugurate the convention at 10.30 a.m. on November 17. Panel discussions will also take place during this 2 day long convention.

Informing about this, Minister of State for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (Independent Charge) Shri Sanjay Satyendra Pathak said that the inaugural session of the convention will be held on November 17 between 10.30 a.m. and 1.00 p.m. The Principal Secretary of the department will give presentation focusing various activities. After this, M.S.M.E. promotion policy of Madhya Pradesh, Online EDP Module, booklet of M.S.M.E. project and booklet of agriculture entrepreneur scheme will be released. MoU with Betul Industries Association and GEM will be inked followed by distribution of M.S.M.E., self-employment and UAM prizes.

On the first day of the convention i.e. November 17, exhibition will be inaugurated by the guests. Different panel discussions on M.S.M.E. competitiveness and industry, vendor development and GEM besides policy and schemes for M.S.M.E. will be held later in the afternoon.

Day Two –November 18

On the second day i.e. November 18, different panel discussion will be held on new business for M.S.M.E., entrepreneurship and incubation for M.S.M.E from 10.30 a.m. onwards.


An exhibition of products manufactured by Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises besides Self-Employed persons is being organized on the occasion of the convention. Ancillary products of large enterprises of the state and other states besides central government’s undertakings will also be displayed in the exhibition which they wish to purchase from the M.S.M. E.s. About 200 Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises and self-employed persons are expected to take part in the exhibition. Moreover, about 28 large enterprises and the government undertakings are participating in the exhibition. A stall has been put by the Central Excise and Service Tax Department to apprise entrepreneurs about the GST.
