One lakh Vrikshsevaks registered for tree plantation

Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan today began fast at BHEL Dussehra ground to bring back peace in state. Apart from discussion with farmers he took three meetings and completed his regular administrative work. He took meetings relating to arrangements in Hamidia Hospital, preparations of tree plantation on July 2 and law and order system.

Widespread preparation is in progress for planting 6 crore saplings on the banks of the Narmada on July 2 in state. It was told at the meeting that so far one lakh vrikshsevaks have been registered for the tree plantation on July 2. At least 11 lakh vrikshsevaks will be registered till June 15.

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan instructed to speed up preparations for the campaign. He said that after June 15, all ministers and MLAs will begin tours to create an environment for tree plantation. He too will tour the districts. He told that availability of saplings in all districts of Narmada banks is being ensured. The work of digging pits for planting the saplings will be completed by coming June 20. Paudh Rakshaks will be appointed for the protection and maintenance of the saplings. Transport arrangements have been made up to the plantation spots.

Singh, Additional Chief Secretary Panchayat and Rural Development Shri R.S. Julania, Additional Chief Secretary Forest Shri Deepak Khandekar and Principal Secretaries to the Chief Minister Shri Ashok Vernawal and Shri S.K. Mishra were present at the meeting.

Review of arrangements at Hamidia Hospital

Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan today reviewed the arrangements at Hamidia Hospital at BHEL Dussehra ground. He instructed that vacant posts in the hospital should be filled on time. Patients should not suffer and better test facilities should be made available for them.

It was told that arrangements were being made in Hamidia Hospital for CT Scan and MRI. Better cleaning and security arrangements have also been made in the hospital. Panchayat and Rural Development Minister Shri Gopal Bhargav, Public Works Minister Shri Rampal Singh, Chief Secretary Shri B.P. Singh, Principal Secretaries to the Chief Minister Shri Ashok Vernawal and Shri S.K. Mishra and Principal Secretary Health Smt. Gauri Singh were present at the meeting.

Review of Law and Order system

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan reviewed the law and order system in state. He instructed that compensation should be given to those small traders whose shops have been destroyed in the farmers’ agitation recently. He instructed that the situation should be monitored constantly. It was told that the situation in state is under control.
