Inaugurating state-level School Chale Hum-2017 campaign at Jaora in Ratlam district on June 15, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan administered an oath to the guardians to send their children to school. Giving his blessings to the tiny-tots CM Chouhan said “Khoob Padho, Khoob Badho, Anant Akash Mein Udan Bharo”. CM Chouhan extended his best wishes and congratulated the district’s teachers and students of Class 12th for bringing laurels to the district. He felicitated all teachers publicly for their dedication and hard work and honoured outstanding students in the merit list for bringing laurels to the district at state-level. The Chief Minister hoisted a flag and started the ‘School Chalen Hum 2017 campaign by ringing the bells of a school.

Chief Minister Chouhan asked the residents, teachers and students of Ratlam district to give the best education to the children. Teachers need not worry about anything. Talking to students he said that knowledge is most important and to attain knowledge education is a must. One must wake up early to study well. To be a good citizen, one must always speak the truth and respect one’s teachers. CM Chouhan said that everyone must make efforts to ensure that every child goes to school.

Govt. to pay fees of higher education: Free textbooks for students of Class 1 to 12

Chief Minister Chouhan said students who secured above 75 per cent marks need not worry about their fees for higher education. The government will pay their fees for admission into Medical College, Engineering College or any other institute. He said the dreams of children of the state will not be allowed to shatter due to the paucity of funds and facilities. He hoped that students would regularize their life and routine. CM Chouhan called upon students to move ahead taking a clue from the Swami Vivekanand’s sutra ‘Utho Jago aur Lakshya Prapti Tak Ruko Nahin’ (Wake up and do not stop till you reach your goal).

Chief Minister Chouhan said that money will never be an obstacle in education. Students of Class 1-12 will not have to purchase books now. Free books will be made available to them. CM Chouhan gave information about schemes like distribution of free cycles, uniforms, books, scholarships etc. implemented by Madhya Pradesh government for the students. He said no discrimination of any kind will be made with anyone in case of education.

Outstanding students honoured

Chief Minister Chouhan felicitated Kumari Ritu D/o Shri Babulal Gujarati of Model Higher Secondary School for securing 8th position in state-level merit list in Class 12th, Kumari Anchal D/o Shri Anil Saleetra of Saraswati Shishu Mandir, Jaora for acquiring second position in state level merit list in High School exam result, Arshin Khan and Kumari Muskan for representing the district at national level in football (under 14) and for handball (under 19) school games competition of Kamla Nehru Girls H.S. School, Jaora respectively. Kumari Muskan, Vinay Parmar of Girls Middle School Sarvan for coming first in Kahani Utsav contest at the district level and Aradhy Sethia of Jaora for presenting a research paper in London.

‘School Chalen Hum’ campaigns new logo launched

CM Chouhan launched the new logo of ‘School Chalen Hum’ campaign in a ceremony. The display includes guardians, besides the students. The CM said that education is everyone’s right. It is the responsibility of the guardians to ensure their participation with complete alertness in procuring the rights of children. Secretary School Education, Smt. Dipti Gaud Mukherji gave detailed information to people.

Before the programme started Chief Minister Chouhan met and blessed the students at the programme venue and felicitated them with a flower shower. School Education Minister Kunwar Vijay Shah, Minister in charge and Minister of State for Technical Education Shri Deepak Joshi, MP Shri Sudhir Gupta, MLA Shri Jitendra Gehlot, Smt. Sangeeta Charel and Shri Mathuralal Damar, Mayor Dr. Sunita Yarde, Madhya Pradesh Finance Commission Chairman Shri Himmat Kothari, District Panchayat President Shri Pramesh Mayeeda, Central Cooperative Bank President Shri Ashok Chautala, other public representatives, senior officials, students and elite citizens were present in the programme.
