Ten Tribal Girls Hostel approved in state

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan met Union Minister for Social Justice and Empowerment Shri Thawarchand Gehlot in New Delhi today. Chief Minister discussed schemes like Post-metric scholarship, Babu Jagjivan Ram Hostel Scheme, Disabled Scholarship, Grant-based Scheme for Disabled Welfare, Scheme of implementation of Disabled Persons Act 1995, Old Age Home, Day Care Centre and grant-based schemes for De-addiction Centre under Tribal Department in detail. The Chief Minister also discussed Madhya Pradesh’s proposals of two 100-seater hostels at a cost of 6 crore each for Ujjain and Backward Class Post-metric Scholarship Scheme under Backward Class and Minority Welfare Department.

Chief Minister Chouhan told that ten tribal girls hostels have been approved in state. Besides this, the Union Ministry has approved hostel at divisional headquarters for Backward Class. The Ministry has approved fund for hostels in Indore, Aagar-Malwa and Shajapur. Soon the Ministry will also approve fund for disabled. The Chief Minister thanked the Union Minister for all this.
