GST is beneficial for economic development of states and country

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said in a discussion on GST in New Delhi that GST will be proved to be beneficial for economic development of states and the country. The country will get benefit from GST. He said that 'One country, One tax' system will be implemented across the country from July 1, thanks to new approach and initiative of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and tireless efforts of Finance Minister Shri Arun Jaitley.

CM Chouhan said that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will inaugurate the new tax system in the premises of the Parliament House on June 30 at 12 midnight. This will be a historical moment, through which the public will get freedom from 16 taxes. They will get freedom from 1150 toll taxes and system of tax on the tax and exempted from visiting tax office. Public will get relaxation from different rates in the country and get rid from complexities of tax.

CM Chouhan said that doing business will be easier after implementation of GST and job opportunities will rise. He said that farmer is the biggest consumer and he will take benefit from this new tax system. Prices of commodities being used by common man will decrease and inflation will go down. Whereas, the prices of luxury items will increase. Common man will get relief. Toll booths and check posts will be abolished. Small traders will be benefited. It will be end of inspector Raj. He said that all apprehensions of states, which are related with new tax system, have been redressed. Even after, remaining apprehensions will be removed through finance ministers of state in GST Council.

CM Chouhan said that GST help desk has been set up at every stage by commercial tax department in Madhya Pradesh. There are 101 help desks. Department's officials have been imparted training for GST and around 300 plus works shops have been organised across the state in which new tax system GST has been explained at micro level. Revenue in the states will increase after GST and state will be developed.
