Steroids plant to be set up in Pithampur

A medicine plant related to steroids, starium and hormones will be set up soon in Madhya Pradesh. Various representatives of Pharma and Hotel Industry met Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan during his Mumbai stay and expressed their wish to invest in these sectors in Madhya Pradesh. Giving the assurance to the delegation, the Chief Minister said that Madhya Pradesh government is eager to provide all possible assistance to investors.

The delegation included representatives of Messrs. P.S.A Chemicals and Pharmaceuticals, Messrs. Balaji Steroids and Hormones Pvt. Ltd. Messrs. Mylan Laboratories Ltd. and White Lotus Hotel Pvt. Ltd.

Managing Director of Messrs Balaji International Hong Kong Ltd. of Hong Kong Shri Prem Aldasani told that a unit with yearly capacity of 18,000 metric ton will be set up in Sepcial Economic Zone in Pithampur for manufacturing of steroids. This will provide employment to about 350 persons. He said that the plan is to set up separate plants for steroids, starium and hormones. Their company is planning to invest total 200 crores.

Representative of White Lotus Hotel Pvt. Ltd. Co. Shri Sunil Joshi apprised Chief Minister Chouhan about the place and outline for establishment of Hotel Hilton branch at Indore. He also expressed interest for setting up a park like Imagica amusement park of Mumbai. Shri Joshi urged for allotment of land by the state government for the park. Informing him about the Hanuvantiya of Khandwa district, CM Chouhan said that we have developed a water park in Madhya Pradesh and people in large number take part in Jal Mahotsav being organized every year in Hanuvantiya.

Managing Director of M/s P.S.A. Chemicals and Pharmaceuticals Shri Pramod Bharal informed that an investment of Rs. 3800 lakh is proposed in Tablet, capsule and dry syrup unit established on 21 thousand 500 square meter at SEZ Pithampur. Employment to about 250-300 persons will be provided in this.

Managing Director TRIFAC and Madhya Pradesh Industrial Development Corporation Shri D.P. Ahuja and other Government Officers were present in the meeting. Chief Minister Chouhan will leave for Bhopal late night today.
