Eid is Festival of Harmony and Brotherhood

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that Eid is a festival of brotherhood, harmony , love and affection, which gives a message to the human being not to hold ill wishes towards each other. CM Chouhan was addressing the Eid Milan Programme organized by Bhopal Utsav Samiti in here today. Former Chief Minister Shri Babulal Gaur, Minister for Health and Family Welfare Shri Rustam Singh, Minister of State for Cooperative (Independent Charge) Shri Vishwas Sarang were present on the occasion. The Chief Minister Chouhan was honoured with First Late Shri Ramesh Chandra Agrawal Samman -2017 in the programme. It was informed that this samman will be given every year for communal harmony and environment-water conservation field.

CM Chouhan said that this proragmme is a positive initiative to keep the glorified tradition of communal harmony of Bhopal alive. Remembering Late Shri Ramesh Chandra Agrawal, CM Chouhan mentioned that he was an icon of Ganga-Jamuni culture. Late Shri Agarwal’s contributions to move forward the glorified traditions of Bhopal are unforgettable. He has set examples of services in every walk of life. He used to undertake social works besides services for suffering humanity with full commitment. He had deep interest in issues related to development of state. Moreover, he also undertook public awareness activities on various issues of environment conservation. CM Chouhan urged the citizens to become wary of environment conservation. Human beings existence will face dangerous situation if water and trees are not protected now.

Shahar Qazi Moulana Mushtaq Ali Naqvi, Arch Bishop Leo Cornelio, Gyani Gurucharan Singh and Mahant Chandramadas Tyagi also addressed the programme. Remembered late Shri Ramesh Chandra Agrawal and gave a message of communal harmony on the occasion.

President Bhopal Utsav Samiti Shri Manmohan Agrawal told that the tradition to hold programme was begun by the efforts of late Shri Ramesh Chandra Agrawal. President Mela Samiti Shri Santosh Agrawal informed about social works undertaken by the Samiti during the last 5 years. Vice President Shri Sudhir Agrawal also addressed the programme. Vote of thanks was proposed by Shri Arif Hasan.
