First General Body Meeting of State Anand Sansthan

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that internal happiness and peace is not possible only by physical prosperity. Infrastructure and creative development work is priority of the government but the government is also responsible to create such an atmosphere so that citizens can feel pleasure. He further mentioned that Madhya Pradesh is the first state in the country which has prepared happiness indicators. Road map for Anand Vibhag will be ready by next year. CM Chouhan was addressing the first general body meeting of Anand Sansthan at Mantralaya today. It may be mentioned that CM Chouhan is the Chairman of the general body of Anand Sansthan.

CM Chouhan informed that a work to collect toys for children will be undertaken voluntary by Anandaks linked with the Anand Vibhag shortly. These toys will be given to those children whose parents are not able to afford toys.

A total of 33 thousand has registered voluntarily till date. The number is increasing continuously. Activities which gives pleasure were conducted at large scale within one year from the formation of Anand Vibhag. Anand Utsavs were organized at about 7 thousand places. Shri Chouhan stated that the roadmap of Anand Vibhag will be made incorporating suggestions of member scholars of the general body.

Scholars Appreciate Chief Minister

Appreciating the initiative of Chief Minister Chouhan for forming Anand Vibhag, member scholars of general body gave valuable suggestions for expansion of Anand Vibhag’s activities.

Swami Govinddev Giri linked with the Ved Education while lauding the initiative for forming Anand Vibhag described it as a creative project. He mentioned that Sanstahn team and Anand team are entitle for felicitation. He suggested for holding Sarvadharm Anand Katha. Moreover, he termed Anand Vibhag as best gift given by the Chief Minister to the citizens of the state.

Sushri Indumati Katdare who is linked with the spiritual and cultural development of children suggested that it is proper to keep in view the Indian vision and philosophy while preparing indicators of happiness.

Yogacharya Dr. H.R. Nagendra gave suggestion that practice of yoga activities should be initiated in colleges and schools to assess level of happiness among the students. Research should be conducted to understand mutual relationship of Yoga and Happiness. Shri Raj Raghunathan, a writer known for writings on various aspects of happiness congratulating CM Shri Chouhan said that several creative activities conducted by Anand Vibhag within one year of its formation is praiseworthy. He suggested for initiative to establish Madhya Pradesh as happiness state of the country. Shri Raghunath mentioned that mutual trust enhancement among people should also be included in happiness index.

Sushri Sonal Mansingh said that Madhya Pradesh has undertaken a unique work by establishing Anand Vibhag, this should be expanded in the extended in the entire country. She further stated that a wide publicity of Anand Club activities should be carried out. Social media should be utilized fully for this.

Shri Brahmadev Sharmaji said that arrangement should be made in schools for students to share their experiences related to their gratitude, assistance, learning and awareness in the prayer meet apart from the Anand Sabha. He said that the Anand Sansthan activities should be organised at panchayat level in which retired persons should be connected. Children should be made to do activities based on capacity, assistance, learning and relationship from the age of 10.

It was told at the meeting that the activities of Anand Vibhag will begin in cities also from next year onwards. The index of Anand and Prasannata will be prepared and their implementation will also begin. It was told during the meeting that the Anand Vibhag activities in Gwalior, Chhatarpur, Mandla and Vidisha districts have done commendable work.

Anand fellowship will be granted to promote research activities in this direction. The Alpa Viram programme will also be expanded. The office budget and administrative work of Anand Vibhag was also approved during the meeting. Training programme will be prepared for government employees/officials through Art of Living Foundation, Panchgani, Esha Foundation, Coimbatore and Initiative of Change Sansthan.

Chief Secretary Shri B.P Singh, Additional Chief Secretary Anand Vibhag Shri Iqbal Singh Bais, Additional Chief Secretary Forests Shri Deepak Khandekar, Principal Secretary Culture Shri Manoj Shrivastava, Principal Secretary Technical Education Shri Sanjay Bandopadhyay and senior officials were present during the meeting.

Vice-President of Sadharan Sabha Shri Lalsingh Arya, Forest Minister Shri Gaurishankar Shejwar, Higher Education Minister Shri Jaibhan Singh Pawaiya, School Education Minister Kunwar Vijay Shah and Women-Child Development Minister Smt. Archana Chitnis were present.
