Interest of Tendu Leaves Collectors to be completely Protected

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that the state government will fully take of the interest of the forest dwellers. Keeping in view the same, the state government has taken several decisions for their welfare. Forest produces like Mahua and Achar’s ghutli (Stone Seed) are being purchased by the government on support price to provide them the fair price of forest produces. He mentioned that bonus of about Rs. 71 crore is being distributed among the tendu leaves collectors of the state for the year 2015-16. CM Chouhan was addressing the convention of Tendu Leaves Collectors at Barondha of Majhgavan block of Satna district today. CM Shri Chouhan launched Charan Paduka Yojana by putting foot wears in feet of tendu leaves collectors and presenting them water bottles.

CM Chouhan mentioned that Mahua flower is being purchased in the state at the rate of Rs. 30 per k.g. He said that various forest produces like Achaar, Mahua and Karanj grow in forest area of Majhgavan. The forest department will open 4 purchase centers at Barondha, Kohari, Pachheet and Patharkachhar to purchase these produces.

Talking about housing problem of poor, CM Chouhan said that 23 thousand houses in Satna and 6 thousand houses in forest villages have been sanctioned under the Pakka house scheme. A special package of 5 thousand pakka houses will be given in the current year in forest areas. He further informed that under the resolution to make agriculture a profitable occupation, water arrangements will be made constructing ponds costing Rs. 30 crore 64 lakh at Patharkachhar and irrigation ponds in other villages. Also, 5 thousand Kapil Dhara wells will be constructed in the area. Moreover, CM Chouhan said that self help groups for women empowerment of rural women areas will be formed.

Furthermore, CM Chouhan informed for opening 50 custom hiring centers in this forest dwelling area. He said that furniture arrangements will be made in government high schools and higher secondary schools. Also, arrangement for Deen Dayal mobile hospital will be made in these villages of hilly region. Moreover, he told people for upgradation of high school to higher secondary of this area. CM Chouhan also inspected forest produces and bamboo craft exhibition on the occasion.

Flower Showering on Kanvariyas

CM Chouhan showered flowers on Kanvariyas who reached Jagatdev Talaab from Subhas Nagar at Satna accompanying Kanwar yatra and prayed for their good. Minister for Forest Dr. Gourishankar Shejwar, Minister for Industries Shri Rajendra Shukla, Minister in-charge Shri Omprakash Dhurve, MP Shri Ganesh Singh and local Public Representatives were present on the occasion.
