Make Nadi Abhiyan a success in state, CM Shri Chouhan reviews preparations

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that the Nadi Abhiyan should be made successful in state. Participation of all sections of the society and social organisations should be ensured in this pious campaign. CM Chouhan was reviewing preparations of Nadi-Abhiyan- Rally for Rivers at the Mantralaya today. The yatra under the public awareness campaign started by Sadguru Shri Jaggi Vasudev on September 3 from Coimbatore for river and environment conservation will continue in state from September 21-24. During this period, programmes will be held in Indore, Bhopal and Vidisha.

CM Chouhan said that the Nadi Abhiyan has been started by ESHA Foundation for conservation of rivers and environment. All possible support should be extended for this pious campaign. All sections of the society and organizations should be connected to this campaign. Awareness should be generated towards rivers, trees, water, soil and environment through this campaign. Representatives of Narmada Seva Samitis, Nadi Sevaks working for conservation of rivers and farmers should be invited for the programme.

It was informed that Sadguru Shri Jaggi Vasudev would address the programmes to be organized in Indore, Bhopal and Vidisha during the yatra in state. The yatra will enter from Dahod on September 21 and reach Maheshwar via Jhabua, Rajgarh, Manawar and Dhamnod. Here information would be given about Narmada Yatra and cultural programme will be held. The Yatra will reach Indore the next day on September 22 afternoon. Here a programme will be organized at Daly College at 5 pm in which Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan will take part. Famous singer Niti Mohan will perform in this programme. The next day on September 23 will reach Bhopal in the afternoon. Here there will a programme from 6 p.m. in which famous folk singer Shri Prahlad Tipaniya will perform. On September 24 morning the yatra will reach Vidisha where a programme will be organized at Ganesh temple premises. From here the yatra will proceed to Kanpur via Lalitpur and Jhansi. On this day students from the schools in state will take a resolve for Nadi Abhiyan.

Chief Secretary Shri B.P. Singh, Additional Chief Secretary Shri Deepak Khandekar and Shri B.R. Naidu, Principal Secretary School Education Smt. Dipti Gaud Mukherji, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Shri S. K. Mishra besides the Collectors of Bhopal, Indore, Khargone and Vidisha were present during the meeting.
