Indore is on Top in Cleanliness and Culture

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan inaugurated a three day long Marathi Food Festival “Jatra” being organized by Marathi Social Group in Indore today. CM Chouhan said that Indore is not only number one in cleanliness but in culture too and will remain number one in future also. He further mentioned that Indore has special culture, identity and traditions. Indore has carved its niche in the field of sanitation in the country.

CM Chouhan further said that various cuisine are prepared during the Jatra. Businessmen do not install their stalls in jatra but stalls are being put up by our Marathi sisters and daughters. These cuisines have their own Marathi specialties, but the sentiments of sisters add special deliciousness to these cuisine. CM Chouhan said that Indore is famous for its cuisine since earlier. How can one forget the taste of delicacies of Indore Sarafa. The tradition of Jatra has strengthened the tradition of Indore. He expressed happiness that women are being encouraged in Marathi society. Society cannot move ahead without daughters. Marathi women have special contribution in the development of the country. Mentioning about the Ladli Laxmi yojana, CM Chouhan mentioned that an amount of Rs. 2 thousand will be deposited in the bank accounts of the girls who have passed 5th class examination on the birth anniversary of Late Smt. Vijayaraje Scindia on October 12.

Mayor Smt. Malini Gour expressed gratitude towards the citizens for their cooperation for making Indore number one in cleanliness field. Mayor Smt. Malini Gour and Commissioner Municipal Corporation Indore Shri Manish Singh were honoured for their contribution in cleanliness. Chairman Indore Development Authority Shri Shankar Lalwani, MLAs Shri Sudarshan Gupta, Shri Mahendra Hardiya and Shri Manoj Patel beside President Municipal Corporation Shri Ajaysingh naruka were present on the occasion.
