Banks Should Keep Cash Payment Arrangements Ready in Farmers’ Interest: CM

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan urged banks to keep sufficient cash in the concerned branches of their banks for cash payment to the farmers. While deliberating with the bank representatives in a high level meeting at Mantralaya today, CM Chouhan informed that Mukhya Mantri Bhavantar Bhugtan Yojana is being started in the state from October 16. He mentioned that convenience of cash payment to the farmers is a priority of the government. Moreover, CM Chouhan informed that Mukhya Mantri Bhavantar Bhugtan Yojana is a top priority scheme of the government and special gram panchayats are being organized in all the gram panchayats on October 12. Farmers will be encouraged for registration in these special gram panchayats.

Moreover, CM Chouhan expressed that this is a revolutionary step in the interest of the farmers. Preparations are being made in all the mandis. All the public representatives have been urged to take part in the inaugural programme of Bhavantar Bhugtan Yojana in their respective districts on October 16 to encourage farmers. Urging the bank representatives for their full cooperation in this scheme, he asserted that banks and the government together can work for the welfare of the farmers.

Minister of State for Cooperatives Shri Vishwas Sarang, Chief Secretary Shri B.P. Singh, Additional Chief Secretary Finance Shri A.P. Shrivastava, Principal Secretaries to CM Shri Ashok Varnval, Shri S.K. Mishra and representatives of the banks were present in the meeting.
