Yatra to familiarise practical aspects of Advait Darshan: Chief Minister

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that Ekatma Yatra will convey practical aspects of 'Advait Darshan' to common people. Seer community will lead this holy campaign. The society will be with them. The Government will only be in role of helper. CM Chouhan was addressing the first meeting of Ekatma Yatra Rajya Ayojan Samiti at Narmada Bhavan today. It was informed that the yatra will begin from four places - Omkareshwar, Ujjain, Amarkantak and Pachmatha of Rewa districts on December 19. The 35days long-yatra will traverse through almost all districts. It will conclude on January 22, 2018 in Omkareshwar. On the same day, foundation for 108 ft height statue of Adi Shankaracharya will be laid.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that the government has the responsibility to extend its support for the efforts giving right direction to the society. Knowledge regarding life, personality, work and philosophy will reach door to door through this campaign. Metal collection will be done as symbolic. It was suggested that the yatra should collect soil of every village in a metal pot. Metal and soil will be used in construction of the statue. People's feeling will remain attached with this statue construction. He said that statue place should introduce the philosophy and life of Adiguru Shankaracharya on the visit. He thanked the saint community for its blessings.
