Journalists’ Delegation from Maharashtra Meets CM

A delegation consisting of 17 Journalists from Maharashtra met Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan at Mantralaya today. CM Chouhan while welcoming the journalists, discussed about the changes and development came in the society by implementing schemes in the field of agriculture, industries, health and education.

CM Chouhan informed the journalists that the state government is making constant efforts to double the farmers’ income. Works are being undertaken continuously to increase the area of irrigation in the state. The agriculture production has increased as a result of expansion of irrigation facilities. He further informed that state government has 5 priorities in the field of agriculture. The state government is paying special attention for reduction in agriculture input cost, increase in production, reasonable price for agriculture produces, benefit of crop insurance in case of damage to the crops or compensation and diversification of crops.

The Chief Minister Chouhan while informing about the schemes for industrial development informed the journalists that various facilities are being provided in the state for establishing food processing industries as a result of sufficient agriculture production. He mentioned that the investment in the textile, automobile, pharma and I.T. sectors is increasing constantly in the state. The Chief Minister further informed that the positive results have emerged under the schemes being implemented for the assistance of cottage and small industries including Mukhya Mantri Yuva Udhyami Yojana.

The delegation of Journalists came from Mahrashtra also obtained information on the health schemes being implemented in the state, law and order situation, public service guarantee act and samadhan online. The delegation presented printed material related to the schemes and programmes being implemented in Mahrashtra.

Principal Secretary Public Relations Shri S.K. Mishra, Commissioner Public Relations Shri ANupam Rajan and Additional Secretary Dr. H.L. Chowdhary were present on the occasion.
