We are proud to be citizens of Madhya Pradesh

Madhya Pradesh is an incredible state, said Chief Minister Shivraj Singh. It is a valley of peace and has presented excellent examples of service to humanity from time to time. People belonging to all religions and communities stay together in peace. He said that we all are proud to be citizens of Madhya Pradesh. CM Chouhan was addressing the “Madhya Pradesh Utsav” programme organized on MP foundation day at the Mantralaya premises today. He felicitated administrative officials-employees for outstanding work and players for making the state proud.

CM Chouhan administered oath to the government officials-employees present at the programme to make their best contribution in the all round development of the state and work constantly to build a prosperous Madhya Pradesh. He urged citizens to make their best contribution in building a glorious, flourishing and empowered Madhya Pradesh.

Discussing the development of Madhya Pradesh, CM Chouhan said that the state has completed a long journey of development. In the last one decade, the state has taken a long leap in every sector of development. He said that the state’s growth rate is constant on two digits. Agriculture growth rate is average 20 percent in the last 5 years which is the highest in the world. Madhya Pradesh has set high standards in several areas, he said. In Cleanliness, while Indore bagged the first position, Bhopal stood at second in the country. Once known as Bimaru and backward, Madhya Pradesh has today become the fastest developing state in the country. Whether it is about expansion of road network, increasing irrigation rakba, power surplus or developing tourist sites, state is leading in all areas. The state has undertaken significant work towards empowerment of women also.

CM Chouhan said that the citizens and officials and employees of Madhya Pradesh have made us proud. It is due to their combined efforts that the state is developing so fast. State government has taken several steps for the welfare of employees and has taken special care of each of them by boosting their honour. He instructed the Chief Secretary to make arrangements to honour officials-employees who have made outstanding contribution.

CM Chouhan honoured trained players from sports academies of the state for their remarkable achievements in international competitions.
