Need to Conduct Ethical Movement with Society

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that remarkable works have been carried out in all the fields for the all round development of the state. Madhya Pradesh emerging out of the bimaru state tag has become one of the developed states by these works. Expressing concern over the decreasing moral values in the society, CM Chouhan emphasized on the need for conducting ethical movement with the society. CM Chouhan was speaking at the programme ‘Rising Madhya Pradesh’ organized by the ETV here today.

CM Chouhan mentioned that historic works of infrastructure development and public welfare have been carried out in the last one decade. Amazing works have been carried out in agriculture and irrigation sector. Earlier, irrigation facility was provided on 7 lakh 50 thousand hectare area and now irrigation facility is being provided on 40 lakh hectare area. The irrigation area will be increased to 60 lakh hectare area. Steps at wide level have been taken to reduce the input cost of agriculture and to make the agriculture a profitable occupation. As a result, the agriculture growth rate is over 20 percent constantly since the last 5 years, which is a wonder not only in the country but also in the world. Moreover, Bhavantar Bhugtan Yojana has been implemented to provide reasonable rates to the farmers, which is like a security cover to the farmers.

CM Chouhan said that earlier, electricity production was 2900 MW; it has now reached 18000 MW. Quality electricity is being supplied to all villages and cities by the production.

Solar and wind power generation has also been in focus in the state. Solar power plant of capacity of 700 MW has been set up in Rewa. Around 1.25 lakh km roads have been constructed in the state. All villages will be connected through roads in next two years. Work is undergoing for electrification of all habitats. Development works are underway with pace in all urban areas. Rs 85,000 crore would be spent on the works.

 Chief Minister Chouhan said that major steps have been taken to provide employment and self employment to youth. 7.5 lakh youths will be provided employment in next one year. He said that no students should be deprived of education due to lack of financial resources. A scheme has been launched to support meritorious student. Historical law has been made in the state to avail residential piece of land to all. Land rights campaign will be launched under this. Extensive work has been done in education, health, woman empowerment and tourism etc.
