Govt. College in Chourai and I.T.I in Bicchua to Begin from Next Session: CM

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan made an announcement for beginning Government College in Chourai from the next academic session. He also announced for opening I.T.I. in Bicchua and beginning of M.Sc. and M.Com faculties in Government College from the next academic session. CM Chouhan performed bhoomi poojan and dedicated construction works costing Rs. 416 crore in Chourai of district Chhindwara under the Madhya Pradesh Vikas Yatra today. After performing Gou-Poojan and Kanya-Poojan, he urged for cow conservation and to ensure respect towards the daughters besides their safety.

CM Chouhan also made an announcement for providing Rs. 5 crore to Harrai Nagar Parishad for development works. He mentioned that the development of this area will gain unexpected pace by the Jamuniya Micro Irrigation and Pench diversion. CM Chouhan also benefitted the beneficiaries during the vikas yatra.

CM Chouhan performed bhoomi poojan of Jamuniya Micro Irrigation System worth Rs. 134 crore 11 lakh, 76.52 k.m. long road from Chourai-Oanjra Chand and Chand-Bichhua to Khamarpani costing Rs. 124 rore 95 lakh, Deendayal Gram Jyoti Yojana worth Rs. 74 crore 89 lakh and Integrated Development Scheme costing Rs. 33 crore 78 lakh in the programme. He also dedicated Sitajhir reservoir project costing Rs. 20 crore 9 lakh and Ambakhapa reservoir project worth Rs. 28 crore 11 lakh. After the completion of Jamuniya Micro Irrigation System scheme, the 114882 hectare land of 164 villages of Chhindwara district and 152 villages of Seoni district will get irrigation facility and the water will be made available for the industrial area and potable purposes. Similarly, under the Sitajhir reservoir project, the 257 farmers of Sitajhir, Harduamaal, Phutera, Oriya and Hirri villages will get irrigation benefit oon 800 hectare area for Rabi. Likewise, under the Ambakhapa reservoir project, the 1485 farmers of Panchalkhapa, Ambakhapa, Savangi, Pandhrakhedi, Chhatrapur and Singpur villages will get benefit of irrigation facility on 1300 hectare area in Rabi season.
