Film Rani Padmavati not to be released in Madhya Pradesh

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that the film Rani Padmavati will not be released in Madhya Pradesh as it revolved around her life and acts of valour based on twisted historical facts. CM Chouhan was addressing member of the Rajput Kshatriya community at his residence today.

The CM said that the state and the country is not ready to accept insult to the sacrifice of Rani Padmavati. He said that a memorial will be set up in Bhopal to exhibit Rani Padmavati’s valour. The acts of gallantry of martyrs who laid down their lives for the country will be displayed at the proposed Veer Bhoomi Project for the future generation.

CM Chouhan said that India has taught a lesson of bravery to the world. Indian jawans have sacrificed their lives for their pride, self-respect and motherland. Such examples of acts of valour by jawans who laid down their lives for their honour cannot be heard of anywhere in the world. CM Chouhan said that a person who does remarkable work in the honour of women will be awarded with the Rashtramata Padmavati Award. Similarly, Maharana Pratap Award will be given for bravery.

Representative teams of Rajput community from various districts submitted memorandum to the Chief Minister against the distortion of historical facts in an attempt to blur the image of Rani Padmavati.

State BJP President Shri Nandkumar Singh Chouhan said that historical facts related to Rashtramata Padmavati’s life have been distorted for money. He said that she taught us how to live for your country. She was a source of inspiration for everyone and was not only revered by the Kshatriya community but the entire India. Women Empowerment Minister Smt. Archana Chitnis, Minister of State for Cooperatives Shri Vishwas Sarang, MLA Shri Yashpal Sisodia, MLA Shri Surendranath Singh, MLA Shri Rameshwar Sharma and a large number of Rajput community members were present on the occasion
