Arrangement for Fixed Electricity Bill to be made for Poor: CM

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan performed bhoomi poojan and dedicated 118 development works costing Rs. 144 crore during Vikas Yatra cum Antodaya Mela held at Kolaras area of district Shivpuri today. CM Chouhan also presented financial assistance of Rs. 56 crore 32 lakh to 47 thousand 852 beneficiaries of various welfare schemes and distributed land rights letters to 34 thousand 769 beneficiaries on this occasion.

While addressing the large gathering of villagers, CM Chouhan said that the arrangement for fixed electricity bill is being made for the poor. He further mentioned that Soubhagyavati Yojana is being started, so that no poor can live in the darkness. CM Chouhan said that electricity sub-centers are being opened in the villages of Rannod area. Intermediate school will be opened in Kutwara. Tahsil status and college facility will be provided to Rannod. Nagar Parishad status will be given to Rannod. Free gas connections are being provided to the poor women of the area under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjawala Yojana. Moreover, a provision to give Rs. 1000 per month to Sahriya Women has been made, he added.

  • College to be started from next year.

  • Electricity sub-stations to be made in village Akgiri, Kutwara,Deharda Ganesh, Madvasra, Ejwara and Kilawali.

  • Higher Secondary School be started in Kutwara

  • Discontinued Nal-Jal Yojana of Rannod to be started and C.C. road to be constructed.

Moreover, CM Chouhan said that Charan Paduka Yojana for tendu leaf collectors will be strated form January 26. They will be provided water bottles also. He further stated that a provision is being made to purchase forest produce Mahua’s flower at the rate of Rs. 30 per k.g. and Achaar Chirnji at the rate of Rs. 100 per k.g. Shall not let illicit liquor sold at any cost. Nal-Jal Yojana is being started to provide potable water facility in the rural regions of the area. Facilities like concrete roads and street lights etc. will be provided in Rannod area. Furthermore, CM Chouhan mentioned that development is the prime objective of the government. He also gave information in detail about the public welfare schemes of the state government.
