Solution to all global problems lies in Indian thought and perception

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that problems all around the globe can be solved through Indian thought and perception. It is a matter of pride that even today non-resident Indians have kept life values and culture of India alive abroad. CM Chouhan was addressing non-resident Indians who are here from 23 countries, after inaugurating the Friends of MP Conclave here at Indore. Commerce and Industry Minister Shri Rajendra Shukla, Indore Municipal Corporation Mayor Smt. Malini Lakshmansingh Gaud, Chief Secretary Shri Basant Pratap Singh and other senior officers were present on the occasion.

CM Chouhan said that a cell will be constituted in the state for the redressal of NRI problems. Members of Friends of MP will be honoured with Madhya Pradesh Ratna for outstanding work in foreign countries. CM Chouhan told the NRIs to stay connected with Madhya Pradesh and we will give them all our love and affection. The Chief Minister said that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi is working constantly for the welfare of all sections of society. Efforts are on to build new Madhya Pradesh along with his resolve to build a new India by year 2022. Today Madhya Pradesh is fast developing state where in the last 12 years several remarkable works have been undertaken for development of each area. There is a noticeable rise in the development rate of the state. Production has been on the rise in every field of agriculture apart from rise in vegetable and fruit production. Food processing is being encouraged in state.

CM Chouhan told the guests at the conclave that Madhya Pradesh is now a power surplus state and is now providing power to other states. A 750 MW solar power plant is coming up in Rewa. Efforts are being made to use solar energy in cooking. After having linked Kshipra with Narmada, state is moving fast in the direction of supplying water in areas facing short supply of water. Irrigation area in state has increased from 7.50 lakh to 40 lakh hectare. Efforts are also being made constantly to change the face of cities of the state. In the next 2-3 years, Rs 83 thousand crores will be spent on the development of cities. State is moving ahead in all areas including road, water, employment etc. There has been constant expansion in amenities for making farming a beneficial profession. Bhavantar Bhugtan Yojana has been launched to enable farmers to fetch fair price for crops besides making loan available to them at zero percent interest.

On noteworthy work for women empowerment in Madhya Pradesh CM Chouhan told that state government is leading in Beti Bachao campaign, Ladli Lakshmi Yojana, Cycle distribution, Mukhya Mantri Kanya Vivah Yojana besides making financial assistance available for education of girls. Women are being given 50 percent reservation in local bodies and 33 percent reservation in jobs except in forest department. Work of nutritious meals for children has also been entrusted with women self-help groups. State government is also focused towards the welfare of the poor. Madhya Pradesh is a one such state where apart from all living beings animals, trees and rivers too are being given equal importance. He said that no poor will now remain landless in state. By year 2022 all poor will have a pucca house. State government is bearing the expenses of the higher education of all those students securing more than 75 percent marks in 12th exams. Chief Minister’s Young Entrepreneur’s Scheme has been launched to connect youths with enterprises. Now young entrepreneurs are coming up in state.

The Chief Minister told NRI youths residing in foreign countries that if they can be successful abroad they should contribute for the state and their country as well. Madhya Pradesh government is making an attempt to connect Indian entrepreneurs who have carved a niche for themselves in foreign countries with Madhya Pradesh. The CM has urged NRIs connected with Indian culture to send their children to Madhya Pradesh. He told that the Friends of MP Conclave aims at making an annual work plan and work for the state’s welfare. For this suggestions will be invited from NRIs.

NRIs who have made the state proud abroad including Shri Satinder Singh Rekhi, Shri Jitendra Singh Muchal , Shri Rajesh Agrawal, Shri G.S. Sarin, Shri C.P. Gurnani, Shri Anurag Asati and Shri Sunil Naik were felicitated by the Chief Minister at the conclave. He relied to queries of NRIs and told them that their suggestions will be included in the conclave. The NRI community presented the CM with a memento.

Mayor Smt. Malini Lakshmansingh Gaud told that Indore acquired the first position among clean cities of the country and efforts are being made to continue this achievement in future also. He said that all schemes for urban development initiated by the Prime Minister and State Chief Minister are being implemented in Indore. Efforts are on to bring Indore in the category of international level cities.
