City campus of Global Skill Park to begin from August 1

The city campus of Global Skill Park will begin at Govindpura ITI from August 1. Four courses of Precision Engineering Centre will be started in this campus. This was informed during a review meeting taken by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan. Minister of State for Technical Education (Independent Charge), School Education and Labour Shri Deepak Joshi, State Employment Board Chairman Shri Hemant Deshmukh and Chief Secretary Shri B.P. Singh were also present at the meeting.

CM  Chouhan directed that the global skill park should be completed within the time limit as per international standards. The construction work should be completed as per the prescribed roadmap. This work should be constantly monitored.

It was told at the meeting that the global skill park will come up on 34 acre-land, in front of Nizamuddin Colony -BHEL. Site development work is being commenced. ITEES Singapore and GIZ Germany will extend international technical assistance. In this employment-oriented skill development training will be given as per demand of the industries. A target to impart training to 10 thousand persons annually by the Global Skill Park has been set.
