Veterinary Services to reach homes thorugh Call Center in State: CM

The Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan stressed on the need for expansion of a pilot project concerning veterinary and artificial insemination services to homes through call center. While reviewing the Pashudhan Sanjeevini (1962) pilot project at Mantralaya today, Shri Chouhan instructed for submitting a report at the earliest after examining the proposal of the project. He said that the veterinary services must be provided in the time bound manner without any hindrance.

It was informed in the meeting that the pilot project of the Pashudhan Sanjeevini (1962) being undertaken to render veterinary and artificial insemination services has been started in Obaidullganj and Badi blocks of Raisen district besides Kannod and Bagli blocks of Dewas district. Medical treatment is being provided in these areas by classifying the diseases in the cattle through the call centers under the project. Veterinary services are being provided by the doctors within 4 hours in serious cases. This service is available 24 hours excluding government holidays. Veterinary services are being provided within 8 hours in other cases. In ordinary cases, assistant veterinary area officers are providing services under the guidance of veterinary doctors.

Moreover, it was informed that all the necessary medicines have been made available by the department to the doctors by identifying main 30 diseases. Under the project, services like vaccination, de-worming, gelding and foetus test are provided on demand of the cattle keepers. A total of 2425 calls have been redressed till now under the project.
