Referring to the incidents of rapes of innocent children in Indore, Mandsaur and Satna, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that these incidents are heart-rending and shake a person from within. Those who commit such heinous crimes are demons. Such people are not worth living on Earth. They should be hanged to death. Only such a punishment will instil a fear in them.

In his statement to the electronic media, Chief Minister Chouhan on July 3 said that often it is seen that such criminals are given death penalty in the lower courts. Then the case is referred to the upper courts and the process gets lengthy. The death penalty is delayed. He said that an appeal has been made in a letter to the Chief Justice of Supreme Court to form a fast track court for a prompt hearing of such cases.

CM Chouhan said that a campaign will be launched to ensure that such criminals who rape innocent children get a death penalty at all cost. He said that rapists should not be allowed to leave jail. Such people are mentally unstable. They will return to the society and commit such crimes again. He expressed a concern about the health of the rape victims. It is the prime responsibility of my government to take care of their health.
