To transform Sidhi into a Mini Smart City Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan laid the foundation and dedicated development works worth Rs. 21 Crores.  He also dedicated Rs 600 Crores for other construction and development works on September 2. Addressing a huge public meeting, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that Madhya Pradesh will be made Number – 1 in the country in the field of development and public welfare. A campaign to the effect has been launched. The state government is working committedly for people’s development, besides making the lives of the people better.

Sharing information about the public welfare schemes being run in the state, CM Chouhan urged the people to come forward with authority to avail the benefits of the schemes. He said that the Sambal Yojana has been launched to provide basic facilities to the weaker sections of the society. Through this, facilities like pattas, housing, education, health and employment etc. are being provided to poor families. The state government is providing all kinds of facilities and support to the meritorious children of poor families for higher education under the Sambal Yojana. He told people to stop worrying about their children's higher education and teach them well, the state government will make the entire arrangement. CM Chouhan said that the electricity bills of poor families have been waived and they will now be given power at the rate of Rs. 200 per month. About the Saubhagya Yojana, CM Chouhan said that electricity is reaching every village and Majra Tola. The day is not far when the house of every poor will be illuminated.

First phase of Mahan (Gulab Sagar) Project dedicated

The Chief Minister dedicated the first phase of the Mahan (Gulab Sagar) project costing Rs 486 crore and 96 lakhs. This is a large project which is built on the Mahan river of Khaddi village in Rampur Naikin block. The Bhoomi-pujan of the second phase was performed by the Chief Minister at Amarpur. On completion of this project, irrigation facility will be expanded to 23 thousand 574-hectare area covering 167 villages of tehsil Rampur Naikin, Gopad Banas, Behri and Sihawal.

The Chief Minister said that the state government has made arrangements for irrigation in 40 lakh-hectares. Irrigation facilities have been expanded throughout the region through the Bansagar Project. Irrigation is being expanded in Sidhi district through the Gulab Sagar Mahan Project. After the completion of this scheme, the economic and social condition of the beneficiaries will improve, the groundwater level will rise, the livestock will get sufficient fodder and the availability of water will increase.

Foundation and dedication of development works worth Rs 23.16 crore in Churhat

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan laid the foundation and dedicated development works worth Rs 23 crore and 16 lakhs in Churhat Vidhan Sabha constituency. He announced the opening of I.T.I. in Churhat on the occasion.
