Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan dedicated and laid the foundation stone of various development works costing Rs. 84 crore 66 lakh during the public gathering in Parasia of Chhindwara district on September 23. The Union Minister for Railways Shri Piyush Goyal was also present on the occasion. While addressing the public gathering, CM Chouhan said that Sambal Yojana is a scheme meant to transform the lives of the poor. He also informed about the facilities being provided under the scheme in detail. While apprising people about the Saral Bijli Bill Yojana and Mukhya Mantri Baqaaya Bijli Bill Maafi Yojana, he mentioned that nobody in the state will dwell in darkness and electricity facility will be provided to all households. Farmers up to 5-acres holding and small businessmen have also been included in the scheme now. The Chief Minister stated that no people in the state will remain without a piece of land. They will be made landowners by providing pattas.

The Chief Minister dedicated Mandhan Dam costing Rs. 32 crore 44 lakh under the Penchvalley Group Water Supply Scheme of Parasia. He also performed Bhoomi poojan of Mukhya Mantri Nal-Jal Yojana costing Rs. 72 lakh and Rs. 67 lakh 98 thousand of Bhokai village and Jamuniya Pathar of Parasia block of Chhindwara district respectively. He also laid the foundation stone of upgradation work of 30-bed community health centre’s building costing Rs. 10 crores of Parasia tahsil, building construction work of the Government Higher Secondary School worth Rs. One Crore of Sahpani village along with upgradation and broadening work of 18 km-long Chhindwara to Khajri-Futera to Sirgora road costing Rs. 39 crore 45 lakh 38 thousand of Parasia tahsil.

The Union Minister for Railways and Coal Shri Goyal said that 4 mines in Chhindwara and 2 in Betul district will soon be started soon. This will facilitate employment to an enormous number of persons. He further mentioned that a fully-equipped stadium will be constructed in Parasia to provide ample opportunities to the talented sportspersons
