Officers-employees should not be under stress: Take full care of yourself and staff

The Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that officers and employees engaged in the work of controlling COVID-19 should not be under stress. We will defeat Corona soon. All our officers and employees are working hard day and night. Along with work, they should also take care of their health. Get enough sleep, work without stress and take full care of your staff. Shri Chouhan was reviewing the status of Corona and arrangements in the state through video conferencing at Mantralaya today.

Improve arrangements in R.D. Gardi Hospital

It was informed at the meeting that R.D. Gardi hospital of Ujjain has been identified as Covid Hospital but it lacks few arrangements. The Chief Minister directed that the arrangements should be improved immediately. All the arrangements should be in order. The slightest shortcoming in the arrangements will not be tolerated.

Carelessness can be fatal

While reviewing the more number of positive cases in the infected areas of Ujjain district, the Chief Minister said that it should be ensured that there is full compliance of social distancing even within the infected area. The Minister for Public Health and Family Welfare Shri Narottam Mishra said that people should be explained that if they are careless in social distancing, then this small carelessness can be fatal for their lives.

The Chief Minister directed that in suspected cases, priority should be given to quarantine persons at home. Those who have less space at home should be taken to quarantine centers. Quarantine centers should be small and less number of people should be kept in them to ensure full compliance of social distancing.

24 lakh 97 thousand people surveyed in 548 infected areas

The Additional Chief Secretary Health Shri Suleman informed that there are 26 lakh 17 thousand 09 persons in total 548 infected areas of the state. Out of these 24 lakh 97 persons have been surveyed. 2570 teams are engaged in the survey work. A total of 32 thousand 974 samples have been taken in the state, out of which samples of 1851 persons have been found to be infected with corona. 3425 people of the state have been quarantined at home and 15 thousand 420 people have been kept under institutional quarantine.

Need for Auto Extraction Kit

The Additional Chief Secretary Health further said that auto extraction kit is required to speed up testing in Madhya Pradesh. The speed of testing by manual kit is much lower while the auto kit increases this speed manifolds. The Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that he will talk to the Government of India in this regard.

The Chief Secretary Shri Iqbal Singh Bains, Principal Secretary Shri Sanjay Shukla and other were present at the meeting
