Our Police Personnel are setting unique example of humanity

The Chief Minister Shri Sivraj Singh Chouhan has said that commendable work has been done by our police personnel in preventing Corona infection. Apart from this, they have set an unique example in serving food to the starving persons and helping destitute, disabled and elderly people besides delivering food to to the needy people. The 7.5 crore people of Madhya Pradesh are proud of them today. Shri Chouhan told the policemen be happy, protect yourself and act fearlessly. We will soon achieve complete victory over the Corona pandemic with the cooperation of you all.

Shri Chouhan was deliberating with all the Inspectors General of Police and Superintendents of Police of the state through video conferencing at Mantralaya today. The Chief Secretary Shri Iqbal Singh Bains and DGP Shri Vivek Johri and other Senior Officials were present at the video conferencing.

Salute to Brave Late Shri Devendra Chandravanshi and Late Shri Yaswant Pal

The Chief Minister has said that he salute our Brave Corona Great Warriors Late Shri Devendra Chandravanshi and Late Shri Yashwant Pal. They are an exemplary example of conscientiousness, who laid their lives towards service to the people. Today, the entire state is with them. A financial assistance of Rs. 50 lakh each to their families, government job to one of their family member, extraordinary pension to their families and Karmveer medals will be honoured on these warriors. At the same time, all such police personnel, who will do remarkable work in handling the corona crisis, will be awarded the Karmaveer Medals on August15th.

Work while protecting yourself, State is safe when you are safe

The Chief Minister said that all of you should work with utmost caution and safety to avoid Corona infection. Wear mask, maintain physical distancing, wash your hands frequently and use sanitizer. Wear PPE kits while on duty in infected areas. Also drink Kadha (Syrup) specially prepared by our AYUSH department to increase immunity, he added.

Strictness and Humanity, both are important

The Chief Minister Shri Chouhan has said that strictness and humanity, both are important. Impose total strictness during the lockdown, restrict movement in the infected areas, and allow shops of essential commodities to open not markets. Take strict action against antisocial elements. At the same time, do not fail to help the public. Maintain faith in gentlemen and instill fear in the antisocial elements.

Best surveillance system in infected areas

The Chief Minister was apprised of the best practices being adopted by some districts during the video conferencing. The best surveillance system being implemented by police in the infected areas of Indore was lauded by the Chief Minister. As many as 608 CCTV Cameras have been installed in the infected areas of Indore through which constant monitoring are being done. Action is being taken with the help of app in order to prevent rumours and wrong information on social media. The Citizen Cop Software is also being used successfully in Indore.

Good Home Quarantine arrangement in Ujjain

Praising the good home quarantine arrangements made by Ujjain Police, Shri Chouhan asked to implement the same in other districts too. The SP Ujjain has informed that after the home quarantine, the police barricades that particular house and installs CCTV Cameras. If the concerned persons try to get out of the house, they are stopped immediately and fine is imposed. 600 FIRs have been registered for violating lockdown.

Bhopal and Raisen districts also report best practice

In the Video Conferencing, the Superintendents of Police of Bhopal and Raisen districts also informed about the best practices being adopted in their respective districts. The SP Raisen has informed that necessary help is being provided to the people through WhatsApp groups, food items are being given to the public at the barricading points and also distribution of masks etc. is being done by the police. The SP Bhopal has informed that monitoring is being done in the infected areas by CCTV Cameras and Drones. Volunteers are being put to good use in Corona related works.
