Significant decline in Corona infection in state: Chief Minister Shri Chouhan

Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that there has been a significant fall in Corona infection in the state. Only 2.4 percent have tested Corona positive in the state in the test report of April 30. While in Bhopal 1.9 percent have tested are positive, 2.2 percent in Indore and 4.4 percent in Jabalpur have tested positive. This is a good indication. We will be able to defeat Corona soon. Shri Chouhan was reviewing arrangement of prevention and control of Corona with senior officials through a video conference in Mantralaya.

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that the situation in Indore is also fast improving. In today's test report, only 10 persons have tested positive out of 451 in Indore. In the state's test report of April 30, out of a total of 2617 tests, only 65 have tested positive. Of 1275 test results in Bhopal, 25 are positive and 7 out of 157 test results are positive in Jabalpur. Although out of 94 test results of Ujjain, 11 cases have tested positive.

Reset Infected Area

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan has issued directions that the Corona infected areas of the state should be reset as per the new guideline issued by the Government of India. Unnecessary areas should be removed from infected areas.

No person on ventilator in Bhopal

Public Health and Family Welfare Minister Shri Narottam Mishra informed that the condition of Corona patients is also improving continuously in the state. A huge number of patients are being discharged and returning home daily. No patient is on ventilator in Bhopal while only 6 patients are on ventilator in Indore. The number of our active cases is now 2006 due to higher number of recovery patients in the state.

Make efforts to ensure that no death occurs

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that efforts must be made so that no Corona patient dies in the state. Best treatment should be ensured in all districts. He issued directions to organize a video conference of the Doctors Advisory Committee to be held on May 1st .

Ensure that infection does not spread to new areas

The Chief Minister directed that no one should be allowed to move to and from the infected areas, and this should be strictly followed, so that Corona infection does not spread to new areas. Dense areas must be specially monitored. Now Mangalwara region of Bhopal has been infected.

Three districts of the state in red zone

Additional Chief Secretary Health Shri Mohammad Suleman said that half of the districts are in Green Zone, 3 districts including Indore, Bhopal and Ujjain are in Red Zone and the rest are in Orange Zone. The Chief Minister said that we have to bring all the districts into the Green Zone soon.

35,000 labourers arrive from various regions

Additional Chief Secretary Shri I.C.P. Keshri informed that so far about 35,000 labourers from different regions have reached Madhya Pradesh. Of these, 25,000 have come from Rajasthan, 6,000 from Gujarat, 2000 each from Uttar Pradesh and Maharashtra. Health screening of all labourers is being conducted at the borders and good arrangements have been made for their food etc.. The Chief Minister directed that the buses should not arrive together and there should be no crowd.
