Crisis management group meetings should be held in all districts - CM

Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan today reviewed the control, treatment and other arrangements of Corona virus in the state. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that outsiders should not be allowed to enter any area without screening. An infected person should not become a carrier and move in uninfected areas. Under no circumstances should the virus be allowed to spread. This work should continue in areas which are Corona infected and where survey has been conducted. Newly infected areas must not surface.

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan directed to start the laboratory at Jabalpur so that the pace of testing work can be increased. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan directed that meetings of Crisis Management Groups should be held in all the districts of the state. Cooperation of public representatives should also be sought in Corona control. He sought detailed information from some collectors in this connection during the meetings.

Corona control

Collector Jabalpur informed that Corona is being controlled in urban and rural areas. Till date, 3208 samples have been taken, of which 2701 tests have been completed. The number of positive patients in these is 98 which constitutes about 4 percent. Only two positives were found in 314 tests taken yesterday. Yesterday 12 patients were discharged from the hospital. A Corona virus death was registered in Jabalpur yesterday. 15 containment areas have been created in the city. A total of 223 survey teams are at work. Here 1702 people are placed in home quarantine while 433 people are in institutional quarantine. Effective action is being taken for the treatment of Corona at the local Medical College. Collector Jabalpur said that all necessary measures are being taken in view of the problem in Sarrafa and Chandni Chowk in the city, the workers who came from outside have been kept under quarantine in the hostel. 57 percent of the city’s population has been surveyed. The containment area consists of 1 lakh 67 thousand 992 people.

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan sought information about the condition of the lockdown in Indore, Ujjain, Burhanpur and Raisen. Additional Chief Secretary Health Shri Mohammad Suleman said that 31 out of 1207 were found to be Corona positive in Bhopal today. On May 4, 106 positive patients were found in the state. A total of 58 patients who recovered were sent home. 16 out of 111 in Burhanpur, 43 out of 421 in Indore, 10 out of 73 in Ujjain, two out of 32 in Raisen and one out of 49 in Morena have been reported positive.

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan directed that there should be no cases about several workers being brought together in tempos, trucks or by other means. In the event of the workers not being sent to MP from some states of the south, efforts should be made again. In those states from where arrangements have been made to bring back labourers of Madhya Pradesh, arrangements should be made to provide them proper food and send them home. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan also sought information about the proposed programme in connection with the pass system.

Health Minister Dr. Narottam Mishra emphasized the need to increase Corona virus and treatment system in Ujjain. Additional Chief Secretary Health informed about arrangements being made in other hospitals of 100-bed capacity besides private medical college in Ujjain. In the meeting, Chief Minister Shri Chouhan also sought information about the disease control action from the Additional Chief Secretary Shri Kesri and district collectors through video conference.
