State’s poor to get Sambal again

The Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan directed for ensuring effective implementation of the Mukhya Mantri Jan Kalyan Sambal Yojana, started for the unorganized labourers in Madhya Pradesh. The scheme will be given wider form. Shri Chouhan will transfer Rs. 41 crore under various schemes in the bank accounts of the labourers of the Sambal Yojana with single click on May 5.

Social security schemes for unorganized labourers have been introduced under Sambal Yojana. This scheme benefits not only the registered labourers but also their family members. Under the scheme, a special campaign was launched for registration of unorganized labourers. The objective of the Sambal Yojana launched under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan was that no section of the society should remain untouched by the public welfare efforts of the government. The government is trying to take every section of the society to a new height.

Under the Sambal Yojana, unorganized labourers are considered to be those who do not get the benefit of social security like job, self-employment, domestic workers, working through an agency contractor or directly, provident fund and gratuity.

Under the scheme, there is a provision to give an assistance amount as ex-gratia of Rs. 2 lakh in case of normal death. Similarly, in case of death in accident ex-gratia amount of Rs. 4 lakh is given. Likewise, there is a provision to give Rs. 2 lakh and Rs. One lakh on permanent disability and partial permanent disability respectively. An amount of Rs. 5,000 is immediately given to the descendent of the labourer in the form of funeral assistance.

Moreover, free medical facility to the family of the registered labourer and free education upto college level is given under the scheme
