Madhya Pradesh Governments Gift to Labourers

Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan started the 'Shram Siddhi' campaign in every Panchayat of the state today through video conferencing. On this occasion, he interacted with the Sarpanches and labourer of some Gram Panchayat and gave information about the ‘Shram Siddhi’ campaign and got information about the work going on there. He also addressed all the Sarpanch and labourer of the state. Under the Shram Siddhi Abhiyan, labourers of rural areas who do not have job cards, will be provided work to each laborer by making their job cards. Additional Chief Secretary Panchayat and Rural Development Shri Manoj Shrivastava was present on the occasion.

Longing to meet you

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan told Sarpanches and labourers that in my mind there is a yearning to meet you all. Due to Corona, I am not able to meet you directly, that is why I am discussing with you through video conferencing today. Through you, I am sending a message to the public that no person, irrespective of the province of Madhya Pradesh, will not sleep hungry and every person will be given work to the best of his ability.

Helped labourers, farmers, poor

The Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that during the Corona crisis, the state's labourers, farmers, poor, etc. were continuously helped by the government. The amount was sent to the labourers in their accounts, scholarship amount for children, social security pension, two months advance pension to the beneficiaries, amount to sisters of Sahariya, Baiga and Bharia tribes, beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Mid-day Meals, etc. were transferred to their accounts. The amount of crop insurance, loan at zero percent interest and the amount of wheat procurement was sent to the farmers in their accounts.

I see God in labourers

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that I see God among labourers, poor and farmers. Their service is God's service to me. We brought our labourers stranded in various states, besides coming to Madhya Pradesh in other states and also fully supported the labourer passing through it. The labourers were taken to the destination, proper arrangements were made for them in the state. Every day 1,000 buses have been arranged on the border for labourers. With the help of the Government of India, a large number of labourers have also returned through labourers special trains.

Protect your village from corona

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan asked Sarpanches to keep their village safe from corona. This is your responsibility. Everyone should wear masks in Gram Panchayat, keep at least two meter distance between each other, wash hands frequently, keep cleanliness and do not crowd anywhere. Deal with labourer from outside in a humanitarian manner. They must have a health check-up and be kept in quarantine for 14 days.

Meaning of the word Sarpanch

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that Sarpanch plays an important role in the development of villages. While stating the meaning of the word Sarpanch, he said that in the word Sarpanch, 'Sa' means Samandarshi, 'Ra' means Ratna, 'Pa' means hardworking and 'Ch' means watchman. The Sarpanches are equal, like gemstones, hardworking and they also play an important role in protecting the village.

Five month free ration

The Chief Minister Shri Chouhan told the Sarpanches that the government had provided a fair price ration of the first three months in each village. Now two months free ration has been provided. Apart from this ration also being given to those who do not have ration cards. The Sarpanch should ensure that the ration is reached to the eligible persons.

More than 21 lakhs labourers employed in MNREGA

Additional Chief Secretary Panchayat and Rural Development Shri Manoj Shrivastava informed that at present, out of 22,809 gram panchayats in the state, in 22,695 MNREGA works are going on. So far, 21,01,600 labourers have been given employment in these works, which is almost twice as compared to last year.

Work for everyone in Shram Siddhi Abhiyan

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan informed that under the Shram Siddhi Abhiyan, work will be given to every person in rural areas. For this a door-to-door survey will be done and job cards will be made for those who do not have job cards. Labourer who are unskilled will be provided work under MNREGA and skilled labourers will be provided work according to their ability.

Migrant labourers will also be linked to Sambal Yojana

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan informed that the government has restarted the Sambal Yojana. Now we are also connecting migrant labourers with this scheme. This scheme is a boon for the poor. Under this, the fees of the children of the poor, an amount of Rs.16,000 was given to the mother after the birth of the child, arrangement of marriage of the girl child, 2 lakhs on normal death, 4 lakhs on accidental death and 5,000 rupees for funeral.

Awards to Panchayats that do well

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan asked the Sarpanches to get good and quality work done in their areas as per the requirement of the village. Gram Panchayats doing good work will be given first prize of Rs. 2 lakh, second of Rs. 1 lakh and third prize of Rs. 50 thousand. The awards will be given for making the most job cards, getting the maximum number of labourers to work, starting the most jobs, constructing structures of the highest importance and works of the highest quality.

Will work together, make the state self-reliant

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan interacted with Shri Rampal Yadav, sarpanch of Babupur village panchayat of Ashoknagar and Shri Sangram Singh Ahirwar, laborer there and Smt. Roma Rai, sarpanch of Pipparai village panchayat through VC. Similarly, he interacted with the sarpanch Smt. Laxmi Jat and laborer Shri Lilaram ji of gram panchayat Dhondhpur, of Sheopur district, sarpanch representative of village panchayat Vizanagari of Agar-Malwa district, Shri Madan Singh and labourer Shri Pappu Rajram, sarpanch of Panchlana gram panchayat Shri Pawan Patidar, sarupach of Asokhar gram panchayat of Bhind district Shri Suvendra Narwaria and labourer Shri Manoj Yadav, Shri Chandan Singh Yadav and labourer Shri Ranjit Adivasi, Sarpanch of Khairai gram panchayat of Shivpuri district, Shri Chandan Singh Yadav and labourer Shri Ranjit Adivasi, Sarpanch of Bagaidhari gram panchayat, Smt. Prembai Dubey and sarpanch of Krishnganj Smt. Ramkali Dhanau.
