Lockdown lifting does not mean carelessness

The Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that lifting of the Lockdown does not mean carelessness. Every individual has to take full precautions otherwise we will not be able to prevent the infection. We have to conduct economic activities and make life normal with utmost care and precautions. People should be made aware more in this direction. Our awareness will help in overcoming Corona completely, he added.

Moreover, Shri Chouhan mentioned that the pace of Corona infection in Madhya Pradesh is slowest in the country. The doubling rate of Corona in Madhya Pradesh is 31 days. At the same time the recovery rate is constantly increasing and has become 63.4 percent in the state. There is a constant decline in active cases of Corona in the state.

Shri Chouhan was reviewing the situation of Corona and arrangements through video conferencing at Mantralaya today. The Minister for Health Dr. Narottam Mishra, Chief Secretary Shri Iqbal Singh Bains, DGP Shri Vivek Johri, Additional Chief Secretary Health Shri Mohammad Suleman and Principal Secretary Shri Sanjay Shukla were present on the occasion.

Take precautions otherwise cases will not take time to jump

While reviewing Gwalior district, it was found that the district has all the best arrangements. The condition of all the active patients is good. But the cases of Corona have also been found first time in Gwalior city. Shri Chouhan directed to take all precautions there as the cases will not take time to jump.

Expand surveillance and sampling

It was found in the review of Neemuch district that 127 cases of Corona have surfaced in the district in the last 7 days, which constitute maximum number from Jawad. Instructions were given to expand surveillance and sampling in the district. The Chief Minister instructed that special attention should be paid to Neemuch and Jawad and work should be carried out with utmost seriousness there.

Improve arrangements at Sagar Medical College

During the review of Sagar district, Shri Chouhan asked to make better arrangement at Sagar Medical College. Along with the treatment, better arrangement for sanitation, meals etc. should be made at the medical college. He directed that a team of specialist doctors should be dispatched immediately to Sagar and to provide the high flow oxygen machine there.

High Flow Oxygen Machines to be provided

The ACS Health Shri Suleman informed that the high flow oxygen machine is very effective in treatment of corona. Five to 10 liter oxygen can be given in one day by normal machine, whereas 60 liter oxygen can be given by the high flow oxygen machine. This machine will be made available soon to all the district hospitals and other Covid hospitals.

Appreciates Police work

The Chief Minister said that the services rendered by the Madhya Pradesh Police in this hour of Corona crisis are highly commendable. Excellent work has been carried out by police in the adverse condition. Shri Chouhan appreciated DGP Shri Vivek Johri including entire police staff for their excellent work. 

Constant decline in active cases

Shri Chouhan informed that the corona active cases are constantly on the decline in the state. The number of active cases has come down to 2772. In comparison to new positive cases, the number of the recovered patients is more. On June 3, 168 new positive patients have been found whereas 224 patients discharged after recovery.

Make Fever Clinics effective

The Chief Minister directed that the fever clinics in the state should be made more effective. It should be both government and private, which will be useful in providing primary health services to the people conveniently.

Procure wheat from all remaining farmers

Shri Chouhan instructed that procurement of wheat from the remaining farmers should be ensured. The whole procured wheat should be transported at faster pace to avoid damage by rains.

Gram with 2 percent Tiwda can be procured

The Chief Minister Shri Chouhan informed that the permission for procurement of Gram with 2 percent Tiwda at support price has been given by the Government of India. A letter in this regard was written by the state government to the Centre. Under this, all those farmers will be benefitted, who were not able to sell their gram at support price because of admixture of Tiwda
