Beneficiaries to get fair price ration now at any place in 21 states

The Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan launched ‘One Nation One Ration Card’ scheme in Madhya Pradesh through video conferencing at Mantralaya today. The scheme will facilitate all the eligible families included under the National Food Security Act to get ration from any fair price shop in their vicinity on the basis of biometrics at any place of 21 states.

Shri Chouhan while speaking to the migrant labourers of other states, working in Madhya Pradesh said that the scheme ‘One Nation One Ration Card’ introduced by the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will prove extremely beneficial to the migrant labourers. This scheme will help the eligible migrant labourers of Madhya Pradesh working in other states and vice versa in getting ration conveniently.

The Minister for Home, Public Health and Family Welfare Dr. Narottam Mishra, Minister for Water Resources Shri Tulsiram Silawat, Minister for Farmers Welfare and Agriculture Development Shri Kamal Patel as well as Minister for Food, Civil Supplies, Consumer Protection and Cooperatives Shri Govind Singh Rajput were present on the occasion.

Kem Chho Samesh Bhai

The Chief Minister Shri Chouhan while interacting with the migrant labourer of Gujarat state Shri Samesh Bhai Havsingh, staying in Jhabua inquired about his wellbeing in Gujarati language ‘Kem Chho Samesh Bhai’. Rejoicing the conversation, Samesh Bhai expressed heartfelt gratitude towards the Chief Minister and said that he has received the fair price ration in Jhabua itself. Shri Chouhan interacted with Shri Vakiluddin of Uttar Pradesh, working in Bhind, Shri Mallick Ranjeet Bhai Nirapado, Shri Seva Bhai Mansingh and Shri Fatehsingh of Gujarat, working in Alirajpur and Shri Ramsingh Bhai Havsingh of Gujarat working in Jhabua. They all thanked the Chief Minister and informed that they have received the fair price ration.

Automation of all fair price shops completed in state

The Chief Minister Shri Chouhan highlighted that under the scheme, automation of all the 24 thousand 980 fair price shops of the state has been completed by installing POS machines. The distribution of ration among the beneficiaries through portability has also been started in the state.

Ration to be made available in 20 other states

Moreover, Shri Chouhan informed that the eligible families of Madhya Pradesh will be able to get ration in other 20 states namely Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, Dadar and Nagar Haveli, Daman and Diu, Goa, Gujarat, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jharkhand, Kerala, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Punjab, Telangana, Tripura, Uttar Pradesh, Mizoram, Odisha and Sikkim. In addition to this, the beneficiaries of other states will also be entitled to receive ration from shops of Madhya Pradesh.

Wheat and Rice at the rate of Rs. 2 and Rs. 3 per k.g. respectively to be provided

Furthermore, the Chief Minister informed that the eligible families of Madhya Pradesh in other states and vice versa will get wheat and rice at the rate of Rs. 2 and Rs. 3 per k.g. respectively. Similarly, coarse grain at the rate of Re. One per k.g. will be provided
