Development of villages must for development of Country and State

The Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan addressed around 6 thousand Sarpanchs/Former Sarpanchs of the state through video conferencing from Mantralaya. He also interacted with Sarpanchs/Former Sarpanchs, who were connected with VC. Shri Chouhan held discussions with Sarpanchs on Panch Parmeshwar Yojana, MNREGA works, Shram Siddhi Abhiyan, Rozgar Setu Portal for regsitartion, construction of Gou- shalas, Free Ration Distribution and situation of Corona etc.

   Shri Chouhan said that India dwells in villages. Development of country and state is possible only by the development of villages. An adequate fund is being given to Panchayats for rural development by the Madhya Government. The government has restarted the Panch Parmeshwar scheme and has released an amount of Rs. 1830.07 crore of 14th Finance Commission to Panchayats (Rs. 1555 crore for infrastructure development and potable water arrangement and Rs. 275 crore for prevention of Covid-19). Sarpanchs should use this amount judiciously. Get the works done for prevention of coronavirus besides good quality development works of permanent nature. Give priority to water and sanitation related works, he added.

Rs. 275 crore for prevention of Covid-19

The Chief Minister said that Corona has reached villages only from cities. Currently, 904 corona infected patients have been found in 440 villages of Madhya Pradesh. Fifteen percent sum of 14th Finance Commission amounting to Rs. 275 crore has been sent to Gram Panchayats for prevention of Covid-19. This amount can be spent on masks, sanitation, soaps, sanitizers, PPE kit etc. Corona patients are recovering at faster pace in state but still full precautions are needed. In order to prevent corona infection, use face masks, maintain a distance of 2 yards and follow other necessary precautions.

Prescribed Desi Nuskha to boost immunity

Shri Chouhan also prescribed Desi Nuskha to Sarpanchs to boost immunity. He told them to drink one cup of Kadha (Syrup) by making it after boiling Giloe and by mixing five leaves of Tulsi, 3 black pepper and turmeric. Along with this, they should also practice Yoga and Pranayam regularly.

Average Rs. 8 lakh to each Gram Panchayat

Moreover, Shri Chouhan informed that an amount of Rs. 1555 crore of 14th Finance Commission has been sent to Gram Panchayats for infrastructure development, potable water and maintenance works. Each Gram Panchayat has received an average amount of Rs. 8 lakh.

Amount of Rs. 1256 crore deposited in labourers’ accounts

The Chief Minister further said that a sum of Rs. 1256 crore under the MNREGA has been deposited in labourers’ accounts. Employment is being provided to at an average 25 lakh 14 thousand labourers daily under the MNREGA in the state. Under the Shram Siddhi Abhiyan also, job cards have been given to over 7.5 lakh labourers. Registration of 7 lakh 30 thousand migrant labourers and 5 lakh 79 thousand family members of the same labourers, thus registration of total 13 lakh 10 thousand has already been done on Rozgar Setu Portal. Shri Chouhan asked Sarpanchs to ensure that no work should be undertaken by machines under any circumstances under the MNREGA.

Repayment date of last year’s loan availed on zero percent interest scheme extended till June 30

The Chief Minister Shri Chouhan informed that for the welfare of farmers, the government has restarted the crop loan scheme on zero percent interest rate. The repayment date has been extended till June 30 for the farmers, who had availed loans on zero percent interest rate last year.

Shri Chouhan held discussion with Sarpanchs/Former Sarpanchs present at District Information centers through video conferencing. The Chief Minister interacted with Smt. Kiran Chowdhary of Gram Panchayat Paraspani of Balaghat district, Smt. Sandhya of Gram Panchayat Tindni of Mandla district, Shri Mukesh Kumar Dodiyar of Gram Panchayat Kelkacch of Ratlam district, Shri Shyamsingh Bamaniya of Gram Panchayat Sanda of Alirajpur district, Smt. Vimla Singh of Gram Pancahayat Sakra of Anuppur district, Shri Rammilan Yadav of Gram Panchayat Ujhawal of Bhind district, Shri Pankaj Pujari of Gram Panchayat Bichhondna of Datia district, Shri Rajaram Goyal of Gram Panchayat Dhuradakala of Sehore district, Shri Kirat Lodhi of Gram Panchayat Vouri of Tikamgarh district and Shri Ishwar Das Kumar of Gram Panchayat Pawarjhanda of Betul district.

Madhya Pradesh tops in uploading Gram Panchayat Development Plan

 

On this occasion, the Additional Chief Secretary Shri Manoj Shrivastava informed that Madhya Pradesh has achieved the first position in the whole country for preparing Gram Panchayat Development Plan under the 15th Finance Commission for the year 2020-21 and for uploading it on the portal of Government of India. The plan has been uploaded by 22756 Panchayats of the state
