Subsidy to continue for street lights

A virtual meeting of Cabinet was held today under the chairmanship of the Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan. A decision has been taken by the Cabinet that subsidy of Rs. 95 per k.w. per month will be continued like previous years at the cost charge, fixed by the Madhya Pradesh Electricity Regulatory Commission for low-tension street light power connections of the civic bodies in the year 2019-20 and 2020-21.

A provision of Rs. 11.85 crore has been made by incorporating a separate head in the departmental budget for providing subsidy of Rs. 95 per k.w per month at the fixed cost charge for low tension street light power connections of the civic bodies in the year 2019-20 and year 2020-21
