Legal Sand Contractors should not face any difficulty in sand mining and transportation

Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has directed that legal sand contractors of the state should not come across any difficulty in sand mining and its transportation. Local police and administration must fully cooperate with them and at the same time illegal mining of sand and its transportation should be stopped strictly.

A delegation of sand contractors called on the Chief Minister Shri Chouhan today. Minister for Mineral Resources Shri Brijendra Pratap Singh was present on the occasion. Shri Santoshraj Diwedi, Shri V.S. Jadoun, Shri Vishwas Parmani, Shri Shivam Trivedi, Shri Anand Tamrakar and other were part of the delegation.

The delegation put forth a demand before the Chief Minister Shri Chouhan for abolishing 10 percent increase in installment till the end of the contract and to abolish the monsoon installment. The delegation informed that such an action has been taken by the Government of Uttar Pradesh. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan was also urged by the delegation to remove the procedural difficulties, being faced by the sand contractors in conducting business activities.

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan assured the delegation that legal mining contractors will not face any problem in mining and transportation. He especially instructed the Collectors and Superintendents of Police of Katni, Narsinghpur and Umaria districts to stop illegal mining and transportation. He also directed that the officials of the police and administration should not unnecessarily create problem for the vehicles of legal contractors for transporting sand with legal royalty. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan asked the Minister for Mineral Resources Shri Brijendra Pratap Singh to coordinate with collectors and superintendents of police for smooth operation of business of legal sand contractors
