Our government has launched Chief Minister’s Young Professional for Development (CMYPD) program which aims to tap young talent for public service. This scheme has been launched with the purpose of utilizing young professional talent for improving governance in the state.
CMYPD 2 year fellowship program is strategic collaboration between MP Govt. & A.B. Vajpayee Institute of Good Governance & Policy Analysis. The program is aimed at improving quality, accessibility & effectiveness of government services for citizens by adopting global best practices
Under CMYPD program 51 Research Associates (RA) at district level & 6 Program Coordinators (PC) at state level will be selected. RAs posted in districts will study ground level implementation of govt. schemes & provide suggestion for improvement based on feedback. RAs will work on 10-12 major sectors of state govt. suggesting ways to remove deficiencies & make these schemes more effective. PCs will be posted in Bhopal & will mentor RAs.
PCs will compile, analyze and submit their reports to the Director, AIGGPA for review. After receiving feedback/changes, PCs will implement the same and re-submit the report to Director, AIGGPA. Director, AIGGPA will submit the final report to the CMO, PS to CM for their review and make a final presentation in front of Hon’ Chief Minister.
The core sectors proposed to be covered by the PCs include:
(i) Social inclusion & development
(ii) Livelihood and Skill development
(iii) Rural Development and planning
(iv) Urban development
(v) Public service Delivery
(vi) Infrastructure and facilities
The eligibility criteria for the RAs and PCs are as follows:
(i) Education
(ii) Age Criteria
RA : Min. 21, Max. 32
PC : Min. 25, Max 40
(iii) Compensation
RA: Rs. 40,000 per month + 15% House Rent Allowance
PC: Rs. 60,000 per month + 15% House Rent Allowance
A budget of Rs. 11.2 crores has been allocated for this CMYPD program.
The CMYPD program will endeavour to improve transparency and productivity of citizen amenity delivery mechanism across government schemes & departments.
