Police personnel of Kharakua police station suspended on instructions of CM Shri Chouhan

On the instructions of the Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan, the Superintendent of Police of Ujjain has suspended the Police Station In-Charge of Kharakua, Inspector Shri M.L. Meena, Beat In-Charge, Sub Inspector Shri Niranjan Sharma, RAF 408 Shaikh Anwar and Constable 1309 Nawaz Shareef with immediate effect.

It may be mentioned that the Chief Minister Shri Chouhan in a high-level meeting held this morning, related to the incident of Ujjain, had directed to investigate the incident and suspend the police personnel posted at the concerned police station. Superintendent of Police of Ujjain Shri Manoj Kumar Singh reached the spot and gathered information about the incident. In prima facie, he found that a beverage (raw liquor) called ginger is sold in the area of the police station and the sensitive case of deaths of some people due to consumption of the same was not taken seriously by the police station in-charge. Police personnel posted at Kharakua Police Station have been suspended for negligence towards their duties.
